What Is Vaping?
Vaping is the process of heating up e-liquid using a vape device and proceeding to inhale the vapour that comes off it. Vaping is often used as a healthier, cleaner and cheaper alternative to smoking, since e-liquids usually contain nicotine.
What are CBD E-Liquids?
E-Liquids are the liquids used in vaping. These liquids come in all different flavours, from fruity flavours to dessert flavours to candy flavours.
E-Liquids are simple, since they only contain Propylene Glycol (which gives the throat hit), Vegetable Glycerin (which creates the clouds), nicotine and flavourings. In CBD e-liquids, the nicotine is replaced with CBD of various strengths.
How Does Vaping Work?
First, you fill the tank with e-liquid, allowing the wick on the coils to soak in the liquid. The device can then be activated either by a button or sometimes by just taking a pull. When the device is activated, the coils are heated by the battery, which heats up e-liquid to the point of evaporation. The resulting vapour is inhaled by the vaper and then exhaled.
Are CBD E-Liquids Legal?
CBD is legal in the UK for any substance containing less than 0.2% of CBD. Vaping is also legal in the UK, but there are restrictions. Vaping isn't allowed on most public transport or airports, as well as in some buildings.

The Downsides of CBD E-Liquids
- Can't Be Used Everywhere - As mentioned above, there are some places in the UK where you are not allowed to vape, meaning that you can't use CBD e-liquids everywhere.
- Not Discreet - Vaping gives off vapour, sometimes big, sometimes small, dependant on the e-liquid. This vapour may be noticed by bystanders and, for people who prefer to take CBD discreetly, vaping may not be the best option.
